What Does Abnormal Bilirubin Mean

Hari Natal - Weihnachten

at First of all, Merry Christmas to you! Is still "just in time", now on Boxing Day. And thank you for the many Christmas greetings of you! I was very happy and I hope you had a great party.

Yes, what is Christmas, on the other end of the world in a mainly Muslim country? In any case, other than I've imagined! Instead of the hoped

Christmas under palm trees, it became a Christmas on the Pelni liner, a slow, fully loaded with cargo and people, dirty and stinky boat. We had bought the cheapest ticket. The price of the first and second grade we were too expensive and we cruises around 26 hours at sea. People have been sleeping in full Schlafrauemen or outside next to the railing on the floor. All that was remembered at Christmas, a kitschy Christmas decorations and A plastic Christmas tree in the dining room of the first and second grade. No palms, no beach and no paradise - What happened?

Gintas and I arrived safely at 18:12:08 in Makassar. What followed was a 30-hour bus ride, a fuenfstuendige Superjetbootfahrt a zehnstuendige night cruise and a two hour Publicboatfahrt to get to the paradise island, Pulau Hoga, which belongs to the Wakatobi Islands. Then there were still delays of more than 20 hours. We had not presented us. With two days of arrival, we were expecting, but not with four. But once on the road we had no choice but to go further.

And so we went on 24.12.2008 broken at five Clock from Kendari to Luwuk. The ship was very bleak. Crowds of people seeking somewhere a place to sleep. Sometimes even outside, wind totz dirt and moisture. Fortunately the ship's crew was, like all Indonesians, to us interested and whites after a little small talk and forced smile, we were allowed to sleep in the dining room from the first and second class on two sofas. There was even a TV and this very kitschy plastic Christmas tree, which is caused to the holy evening with a good face on the matter this picture.

Merry Christmas

have that stupid Christmas ich noch nie erlebt.

Fuer unsere Verhaeltnisse war die Fahrt mit sieben Stunden recht kurz, wenn man bedenkt, dass wir in den letzten Tagen durchschnittlich 15,4 Stunden taeglich (ja, you have much time on the Pelni liner) were traveling.

Anyway, we are now in Ampana have a hotel with water, and toilet, it's hard to believe, electricity. Yesterday we have Christmas with a dinner made up on the pebbly beach. We even had a small Christmas tree which had given me my dad still in Germany, and Christmas music on my phone. Was quite funny how people have looked. Does indeed look funny, as we sit under a beach umbrella, right?

Christmas Dinner

We slept well and then tomorrow, the ferry goes to the Togean Islands. Any expectations of the islands I have not now more or less in self-defense. But we are confident we will be there first and spend a few days to come to rest and to the actually planned holiday. As can be altered by any rain nothing in it. Nevertheless Daumendruecken never hurt. Thank you very much ;-)

Probably even over New Year's Eve are there, depending on how the ferries.
Internet is not there and therefore I wish you ever all the best for 2009. Celebrating beautiful and in nine months we will see you again.

Take care, Gero

To all donors: I'm sitting right now at the first interim report. There are already nearly three months to. Because we here in Sulawesi but rarely get a computer to face, I can probably only be ready in January. So please have a little patience and I'll send him around the mid / late January. Thank you for that!

Idul Adha!

Public Praying

men in front, women behind

Yesterday was a great holiday for all Muslims. In the Indonesian words that day Idul Adha, the Feast of Sacrifice. On this day in remembrance of the sacrifice of Abraham, his son was ready to sacrifice Ishmael, goats, sheep, bulls, sacrificed cows and camels in Arab countries. After a special morning prayer at six Clock in the morning is all for the slaughtering, the ritual slaughter prepared.

I just came back from breakfast in the city, as all people were out of my course at the mosque. The five goats, which took me a day before mowing yet woken up by her because they were tied in front of my boarding house stood ready. I was pushed forward and after the goat was blessed, all began to sing a special song.

Three men ...

Sapi tanpa kepala (Kuh ohne Kopf)

The cow in the sacrifice I have watched, has even moved without a head. Everything was full Blutund it looked brutal as the animals have sometimes resisted. But that's just part of the culture in Indonesia and I also knew beforehand that I would come here to my limits. This day when several hundred, were if not thousands, goats and cattle slaughtered only a few dozen in Pekalongan, was such a marginal experience. The streets and canals were often colored red, and now and then I had to hold my nose. Viewed

But from another perspective, this day is the highest holiday of the year. We visited his Relationship, invites his friends and acquaintances, and eat together. Most meat, however, donated to the poor and needy people. As such, I was just excited, shocked, overwhelmed, surprised (please make it a word. Otherwise I do not know how I put it ;-)) by slaughtering many, I've never watched it. But I also found it exciting and interesting. I'm glad to have seen once and the rest of the day it was then, eat, eat and eat. Sate of Sate (skewers)!

Take a look at the slide show. I especially selected only the more benign images. If you think however, that one or other image is too brutal, as it is available to everybody, let me know.

the moment I'm still a little tired. It's almost half past one night and the entire last week I was sick. Therefore, today, only this short post. But if you want to know more about this festival or you have questions, write me.

Backpack Dora The Exploradora Pattern

Überschwemmung!

This time the long promised pictures of the flooding in my walk. In the first photo you can see the water, that's enough to the wall of my room. In my towels were already set before the bedroom door and the water came almost to the floor. It has about an inch last straw. Our neighbors had about 20 centimeters of water in their House and had to be carrying it in buckets outside. So really no fun to witness and it was funny to me something like this, because you know only from pictures socleh the TV. Although it is once again got off lightly, but people were already suffering and fear for their homes.

The other picture is from last week when it has rained once in the afternoon also very strong. The children had fun and I later played football with them in the rain. But you can clearly see that the drainage system is functioning very poorly and if it really does a lot of rain, everything is huge for a bathtub.

the moment I'm Sorry etwas krank.
